The moon was a pretty good idea

Quote of the Day: "God is really good at making trees, but we're aces at burning them down." -Eyes in the Sky

This classic one-liner came from a 90s Discovery Channel video on satellites. It reminds us of basically every class we've ever taken in college, because we spend a lot of time learning about trees and how to talk people out of messing them up.

You're probably wondering what this "Okay here I go..." business is all about. It's one of those "had-to-be-there" type things, but we feel that we owe you the explanation anyway, no matter how impassive you will doubtlessly be about it. The story unfolded thusly: for some reason we were talking about waiting five minutes for something, and Audrey commented that five minutes prior to the Resurrection, Jesus was checking His watch and saying, "Wait for it....I got five minutes....waaaait for it...." and then at the moment itself: "Okay here I go..." We like to think that it's a perfectly understated declaration of intent with many practical applications. Such as:

"Time to stop global warming....okay here I go."
"Time to take out the recycling....okay here I go."
"Time to sweep the lemur pen....okay here I go."

Jesus likes it. We like it. And there it is.

I am very amused by your title and believe there was some record, somewhere, of Jesus actually speaking those words. They're there somewhere.

Also, the tufted titmouse is one of my favorite birds, and not because it has two of my favorite words in its name (tuft and mouse, of course).
